Questions about coaching?
Learn more here, or get in touch with me for an in-depth conversation about whether coaching is right for you, and what kind might be the best fit. We can tailor an individual program specifically to meet your needs or find a group program that will give you everything you’re looking for.
What is coaching?
Coaching is a method for one person, the coach, to help others learn something new, make a change in their life or behavior, or achieve goals. Traditionally used in the sports world, coaching has become a proven method to:
- accelerate personal and leadership development
- overcome problems and obstacles
- establish new habits and extinguish unwanted ones
- provide clarity, direction, and focus
- raise self-awareness and increase confidence
Coaching is NOT therapy or consulting. It is NOT the same as mentoring. In a coaching relationship, the coach and coachee establish a partnership where the coachee controls the agenda at all times, and the focus is on driving the outcomes they desire.
What is “brain-based” coaching?
Brain-based coaching was developed by the NeuroLeadership Institute and is based on the latest research about how the human brain works. It is focused on maximizing insights that will drive new behaviors and extraordinary outcomes.
What are Hogan Assessments?
Hogan Assessments are today’s premier tools for predicting workplace performance. They consist of a series of three assessment tools which examine how we behave when we’re at our best, what derails us when we’re not at our best, and what drives and motivates us internally.
Hogan’s assessment solutions help businesses reduce turnover and increase productivity by hiring the right people, developing key talent, and evaluating leadership potential. And they help individuals increase self-awareness in order to maximize their effectiveness and the fulfillment they get from the work they do.
How are 1:1 coaching sessions conducted?
Depending on location and preference, coaching sessions may be conducted in person, by phone, or via Zoom.
What is “group” coaching?
Group coaching is a one (coach) to many (coachees) arrangement. The benefits include making the services of a professional coach available in a more cost-effective way for the coachees. In addition, coachees benefit from each other’s feedback, knowledge and experiences, and encouragement.
How are group coaching sessions conducted?
Group coaching sessions are generally conducted in a virtual setting, with scheduled and structured meetings on a regular basis – perhaps weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly. They may be for a set duration or an open-ended period of time.
The “What’s Next?” Ultimate Career Renewal Bootcamp group coaching program is held online, with weekly meetings of 75 minutes each over 3 months.
As a coach…
I’m fiercely committed to guiding seasoned professionals to up their game or find their LAST.BEST.JOB., using their unique SuperPowers to contribute to the world and get rewarded handsomely while they’re at it, so they can live to their fullest potential for the rest of their career and beyond.
I realized early in my career as an HR professional that it wasn’t the most talented individuals who were happiest or became most successful. Instead, it was those with the most resilience – a sense of realistic optimism, coupled with a learning mindset. While those attributes are natural for some, I also noticed that others can learn to strengthen them. I developed a talent for triggering insights that help people discover new perspectives, reframe their “reality”, and create new stories for themselves.
If you’re looking for a proven professional who can guide you to find your purpose, overcome your doubts, and get fired up to make progress toward your dreams every day, you’ve come to the right place. With over 30 years of experience working with amazing professionals with similar worries and concerns and guiding them to achieve remarkable success, my mission and commitment is to change the world by inspiring one client at a time to live their true purpose and be the best version of themselves.
Results you can expect
Coaching clients say remarkable things about the impact my work has on their life and business success. Read a few of their comments below.
“Lorri Anderson… is skilled in bringing her coachee through a process that allows for healthy habits to be formed and for negative thoughts to be extinguished. Lorri always keeps her focus on the coachee’s desired goals! She partners with her coachee as she navigates the move forward toward goal attainment.” – Maureen L. Mackenzie-Ruppel, Ph.D., Business Professor and Coach
“I [recently] met a new someone that gave me a boatload of inspiration, a hopeful outlook, and a pocketful of new ideas to try. Lorri’s session [“Finding Your LAST.BEST.JOB.”] personally stretched me. It encouraged me to stay clamped in my train car while our current reality of business disruption and innovation (yes, please) opens up plentiful, desirable opportunities. Lorri also gave me hope that Yes, a dream job can be repeatable.
One of the most helpful points gleaned from Lorri is that the employment world is a big, huge, expansive space. It’s all about identifying your individual superpowers, meshing those with what the big, huge world needs, and targeting your job search to those specific needs and/or connections (new helpers) that will help create the pathway to your JAM- the magical overlap of your superpowers and what the world needs. Boom!
Thank you to Lorri Anderson (reach out to her for Executive Coaching or personal stretching)!” – Lori Braegelmann, Program Manager
“[Lorri]…is very professional, a great coach, and a calming presence in a challenging time for the company. I learned a few things from her that I still have with me and reference to this day.” – Jamie Jansen, VP of Sales & Marketing
My approach to coaching…
What lights me up about this work is knowing that I make a difference for people who are serious about changing their results – and lives – for the better.
What sets me apart from other coaches is my training in brain-based coaching, coupled with my extensive experience in the business world and my faith in and curiosity about human beings. As a coach, I’m skilled at helping you clarify and realize your goals. You’ll identify your own SuperPowers, tune in to a bigger perspective, focus on what you want to achieve, successfully navigate the game you’re in, and accomplish big things. Together, we focus on goals AND insights, so your outcomes will include both achievements and learning.
A few additional details about me and my experience that might surprise and delight you – while serving our coaching work together:
- I’m a “social introvert”. I need my alone time to recharge, but I love people and love to network.
- I firmly believe that while the human condition is a messy place to be, there’s much more to the universe than we can see, and we’re all in this soup together.
- I love art and nature. Life is fraught with mystery, and until it’s not, art and nature serve a critical role in our ability to cope with it.
- Humor is my favorite human coping mechanism.
- I live on a real-life, working dairy farm. I personally have NO farming skills, but it’s great entertainment – there’s never a dull moment around my home. And the whole endeavor forces a daily face-to-face encounter with PERSPECTIVE. (Many of us go about our day-to-day lives happily under the illusion we truly have control. Not so the farmers.)
